Zendaya’s Skin Care Routine Review

Pregnancy is hard. Pregnancy is very hard, but also very rewarding. I’m sure you probably think I’m talking about the little bundle of joy I got out of it, but I’m not. Don’t get me wrong; I am absolutely grateful for my son especially since he’s so stinking cute. However, right now I’m talking about other rewards or as I like to call them “pregnancy perks”. When you’re pregnant, AMAZING things happen to your body. Your hair grows, your nails grow, and your skin is flawless. Yes, tons of other nasty things happen to your body to balance the scales, but I like to focus on the positive.

My skin looked better than it had in YEARS while I was pregnant. I couldn’t remember the last time I had a pimple. The best part was after I had the baby, my skin stayed clear. Things were going great. Now, imagine my surprise two months ago when I wake up and I’ve got a giant pimple in the center of my forehead. At first I ignored it. I figured it would go away in time, but then another one popped up! They just kept appearing! Once they finally did go away, they left little dark spots for me to remember them by. I exfoliated. I moisturized. I did clarifying masks. Nothing helped. Then, like a gift from above, Zendaya blessed my timeline with her personal nighttime skin routine. I’m pretty sure I made a trip to Target within the week to pick up what I needed. What I loved from the beginning about this routine is that it’s super easy and super cheap. All you need is Shea Moisture’sAfrican Black Soap makeup remover wipes, Thayer’s Rose Petal toner, and vitamin E oil. That’s it!

Every night before bed I would remove any makeup, dirt, or oil from my face with the Shea Moisture wipes. I would then squeeze the toner onto a cotton pad and rub it all across my face. I would finish up by applying the vitamin e oil all over my face and neck. The whole process takes less than five minutes and then I’m ready for bed.
After just one night I already felt a difference. My skin was noticeably smoother and had a soft glow. It wasn’t quite a pregnancy glow, but a glow nonetheless. I kept up my routine every night for 30 days and I must say I’m pleased with the results so far. A lot of the dark spots that I had have lightened and some that were on and around my cheeks are gone completely. I even noticed that my complexion has begun to even out. Any bumps I had on my face are still there but are not as raised( as you can see on my forehead). I can say that my skin is significantly smoother, which was a big concern I had. I’ve even had friends and family comment on the natural glow of my skin. Considering how impressive these results were after just 30 days, I still follow the routine. It’s super simple, plus my husband loves the way it makes my face smell. Is that weird? That’s probably kind of weird… Nevertheless, if you’re having trouble with dry skin, pesky dark spots, or just general skincare concerns, I highly recommend this routine. It fits perfectly into a busy schedule plus it’s inexpensive. Who doesn’t love that?
